I am giddy today!!!!!

So i am super giddy today. I think the culture shock has taken its course (for now...) and I am finally living in the moment. It is a nice feeling. And don't worry! For those of you that know how I am idealistic and romanticize everything...I am aware that this "honeymoon" stage will end!!!! But for now I am going to enjoy every moment!

I love the Lake Geneva region! I can really see myself living life here. It is a very comfortable place. I love the towns outside of Geneva. I like how it is so full of culture here!

I am loving every aspect of my job so far. I feel really fortunate. I have had a great time connecting with the students at westlake (there are more pics of the weekend...click here to go to the website and look at the pics!) Friday night is the first youth night I will be a part of. The youth pastor is going through several different parables. My first night to teach will be October 8th. That will be good practice for me!

As far as my job in the YFC office- things are great. I have really enjoyed getting to know the people I am working with. There is one other intern and his name is Andrew. He is a student at Georgia Tech. There are two girls that went through the internship program last year. One is Ester and she is from Italy and the other is Bethany and she is from McKinney (Dallas area). And...I absolutly enjoy Josh and Laura Case. Josh is the director and Laura is his wife that works in the office as well. They are both very welcoming and bring great dynamics to the team! Paul Luedtke is the missonary that works for YFC that has been here for 20 years. He has been so helpful and welcoming as well! He is very wise and I will learn so much from him this year! There are also two other men on the team. One man is Lammert and the other Leigh. Leigh appears to be an expert with communication stuff such as logos! Lammert is working on developing the Altitude internship program. That is the program I am going through. So....if any of you are interested in going through this internship program next year....let me know!

Well...i could keep going on and on....but I better stop! I miss all of you and I am really enjoying hearing from all of you!
