Work, Des Alpes, Corpus and More!

Well things have been going well! Don't worry...I came off of my giddyness high! I seriously think it was because I had a capachino that morning...and I HATE coffee (confession...it is the only thing I know how to order that is english and french!!!! ha!). Since I have been here I have not had much sugar...and NO DR. PEPPER so I think that did the trick!!!

My work in the YFC office is great. This week I attended my first LTF. That stands for Lunch Time Forum. LTF's are run by our Interyouth program. We go into three international schools in the Geneva area. We try to get as many students involved as possible. We then discuss issues involving personal life, interpersonal life, world issues, social action, governmental issues and so on...whatever the students choose to be interested in. It is a great way to make a difference in the world today as well as make some great connections with the youth in this area. Through Interyouth we are also preparing for a MADD- Make a Difference Day. We will be painting a wall in a homeless shelter. We also are going to do a ropes course for student leaders. You can also be praying for our Spring Service Project. Last year they went to Poland...we are trying to decide the best palce to go this year. AlSO...we are planning an event called Famine Feast. I will give more details as they get to me!!!!

My work at Westake is in Full Force: Last night was the first night of "Corpus." Corpus is our youth group at Westlake (the church I am working at). It is every Friday night. The Youth pastor, Jesse, is going through some different parables. It was a lot of fun! I thought the night went well too! ***Click Here for Corpus Pics*** Please pray for our youth group. Pray that the kids would be sensative for the spirit to move in their hearts. Also pray that Jesse and I would have the opportunity to talk intamitly about the truth of God as well as have ample opportunities to share God's love.

I know all of you have been waiting for this part!!!! My host family took me to a Swiss Tradition called Des Alpes. It's the annual tradition for farmers to dress up their herds and parade them through town; they're coming down from the mountains for winter respite/a break...whatever that means! *****CLICK HERE***** for pictures of the festival! Also, there I took some video...I hope it works. Below there are three places you can click. Each one is a new video.

Also, thanks for checking out my updates! I appreciate all of you who are praying for me, thinking of me and supporting me financially!!!!!
