This past Saturday we took the youth up into the Jura Mountains. We went to a place where you could play swing golf, do archery and the infamous Trattinerbe. It was a really great time! I love my job!

Hi Marbes!
It's so interesting to read your blog entries. It sounds like you are really growing and learning so much about yourself, others, a new country, and definitely God. What an awesome experience!
As awesome as it all sounds, I understand that even you (the bubbly, upbeat Marbes that we know and love) can have a whole range of emotions hitting you while so far removed from everything familiar. It reminds me of when Jesus was in the desert for 40 days or when his disciples deserted him at times or fell asleep when he needed them most for support. I know it was at times like that he knew the Father was sufficient....kind of like you are learning. What a great growing time, although painful at times. Speaking from experience in the pain dept., (which of course we can't escape if we are human!) I know God could not have gotten my attention if it weren't for some stiff doses of lonliness, insecurity, and the like. I now know (thank goodness) where to run when those feelings come on me. I love that song "you raise me up, so I can stand on mountains...".
From your blog, it sounds that He is literally doing that with you...and oh, what beautiful mountains they must be!!! By the way, are you actually in the alps??
Mike has always wanted to go see them. Well I wouldn't mind either!:)
You take care and I'll be praying God's encouragement & perserverence for you and passion for the people over there. They can't help but love you too!
Your "old"er sister in Christ,
Sara Harman
P.S. The Pizzini's and us went to A&M this wkend for the OU/A&M game. Mike P. has quite a story about being on the field. (only Mike could get away with this) ha
