There are so many things I wish I could have sat down and posted about. I have been ridiculously busy for several different reasons the past month and a half. Things have been going really well. As I sit back even just for a few seconds I am overwhelmed with joy with all of the blessings I have received recently! I hope you take time to read below to take note!
- I am staying in Geneva for another year. WOW...did I really say that. If you would have asked me a month ago I would have said that I was going to move home for a while. Guess things change fast! It has been a fun decision to come to. I love Europe and I love my job. The only downfall is that there is an ocean between me and my family/friends. I arrive in the States on July 6th and I am sure I will hit the ground running to see everyone!!! I will be excited to share with you my past year as well as the year to come!
- Snow Camps! My favorite time I have spent in Switzerland thus far has been my week with 30 students up in the mountains for a week of fun in the snow! It was so great! Going in I didn't know any of the students. It was a great week to form relationships. Unfortunately I do not have pictures up yet...but they will be hopefully in the next week or so. During the week we studied the book of Philippians. It seemed to be a great time for the students. Nine of them accepted Christ and there were others that were working through other parts of their faith journey. It was a privilege to be a part of that week.
- I have a friend visiting! I am so excited. My friend Christy Williams is visiting from Arkansas. We graduated together from OBU. She will be here for a little over a week. She will do some traveling on her own while I work...but I am hoping to spend a lot of time with her. It will be so nice to be with someone familiar! You can pray for her safety as she travels. I also have a roommate from college visiting...hopefully! Blaire will be traveling through Switzerland on her way to Italy with a friend. If our schedules can work together we will meet up somewhere!
- Our Spring Service Project is nearing. WOW...in less than one month YFC and Interyouth will be serving in Kosovo. It is going to be a great time. We are helping to refurbish a high school. From the sounds of it, the entire community is planning for our arrival! Please pray for our safety and for students to sign up!!!! If you haven't had a chance to read up on the details please look at my older posts!
- I love working with youth! Ok...that may sound like I am stating the obvious. But God has really been working in my heart showing me about my love for younger people. He has given me this passion and I am excited to see how that is played out for the rest of my life!
- Formation. My formation this semester has been different than the first several months here. I think that through trials God is forming me for future things. Not sure what they are or how that all works out in my life...but it is good and it gives me peace.
